The Kokang Democracy and Unity Party ((ビルマ語:ကိုးကန့် ဒီမိုကရေစီနှင့် ညီညွတ်ရေးပါတီ), abbreviated KDUP and locally called the Lashio Long) is a political party in Myanmar (Burma), representing the interests of the Kokang Chinese and the Kokang Self-Administered Zone. In the Burmese general election, 2010, KDUP contested constituencies in Shan State's Lashio, Kunlong and Hsenwi Townships, but won no seats. The party contested 4 constituencies in the Burmese general election, 1990 but did not win any seats.〔 KDUP is contesting an Amyotha Hluttaw seat in the Burmese by-elections, 2012, in Shan State's Constituency № 3 and has fielded the party's chairman, Luo Xingguang, who is believed to have ties to drug traffickers Lo Hsing Han and Liu Guoxi. ==References==
